Fourth Floor, Last Door
It's been too long!! But wow, so much has happened!
The last time I sent an email was before the last transfer. Meaning, after serving in Makhanda and Port Alfred for about 4.5 months. I was serving with Elder Mokgadinyane. An amazing Missionary who I have been serving with for almost all of the time I was serving in Makhanda. He joined me and Elder Van Tonder, 3 weeks into the transfer. Elder Mokgadinyane was temporarily re-assigned to the Cape Town South Africa Mission (SACTM Misson) until his visa arrives. Right before I left for the transfer we learned that his Visa came in so he will be flying out to Jamaica in about 2 weeks.
So crazy how time is going by so fast! Now to the transfer news! I have moved back to the Western Cape! I am now serving in Milnerton. Which is the Social Media Specialists Area. Meaning my companion Elder Mkhize and I are in charge of 4 or 5 Facebook Pages, creating content, working on the schedule, making sure referrals are sent.. I can keep going with our responsibilities… But, it has been a nice change and I am working with technology again. We are also responsible for all the technology issues and implications in the mission. We are the Social Media and Technology, Assistants to President (APs)
We aren't Office Elders, as of yet. It is a huge possibility that it may happen in about 2.5 weeks. I will keep you updated! We also have a huge mission wide meeting coming up tomorrow with two General Seventy.
MISSION DEVOTIONAL WITH VISITING GENERAL AUTHORITIES
"We are pleased to announce that we will have a mission devotional with Elder José A. Teixeira, of the Presidency of the Seventy, his wife Sister Filomena Teixeira, Elder Carlos A. Godoy, President of the Africa South Area, and his wife Sister Monica Godoy. The devotional will be held on Tuesday morning, August 27th."
I am going to miss my people I left in Makhanda and Port Alfred. But I am so excited for the new challenge that is awaiting me here in Cape Town and assisting President!
It may be short but I'm glad I've been able to send an email. It's been too long. I love you all and hope you are doing well. Feel free to shoot me an email. And I will respond as soon as I can!
