This week has been crazy short, but good. We put four people on date! All of them are amazing people and are progressing well. Although we might have to push two of them a little further than the day we have planned for them. They are a married couple and have a few kids. We just want them to come to church a little more.
We also met an amazing youth that isn’t a part of the church but said during the first visit that he wants to be baptized and then a missionary for the church. He is a BEAST! I am excited to see him progress in the gospel!
Birthday Celebration!
I can't believe I am 19 now.... where did time go? It felt like it was yesterday when my mom was picking me and my cousins up from middle school. Or when we would create epic forts in our back yards. Even when we lived in the yellow house, where we were living when I was baptized. I can still remember parts of the special day. Time truly does fly by.. where did time go.. And now I am here serving the people of South Africa in Motherwell.
To the point of the title of this section, this birthday has been way different than what I am normally use to, but I guess that makes sense. There are still people to serve and people to teach! But, to celebrate we went to Mama Oliphants! Can you guess what we ate!?! A LOT! Like A LOT, there was so much food. I will attach a picture of what we ate. Just remember that after that dish came desert: Ice cream, peaches, jello and a tart thing.
I know this week was more of a quick update, but the week has been hectic and crazy fast. (As you can tell since I’ve written two emails about has fast time has been flying by) But I love you all and pray for all of you!
My invitation this week, read 2 Nephi 31:19-21 and answer these questions.
Why is it important for me to hold on to the rod?
What does it mean to you to Endure to the End?
How can I improve the things I am doing to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ?
Who can I minister to this week?
Everyone’s response to these questions might be a little different but I know that as we hold on to the rod and endure to the end, "with a steadfastness in Christ," we will be able to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. We will become more loving people and find joy in serving others. I pray that we can minister to each other and help each other out. I know that our loving Heavenly Father ministered to everyone he could on the earth before people rejected him and even crucified Him. Let us not forget the commandment to love and serve thy neighbor. I love each and every one of you, and know that someone needs you today. This gospel brings joy into our lives and the people that are waiting to hear this message! You will find joy in serving others. Heavenly Father will bless you for your efforts to serve his children.
