Not too much happened this week! I'm still alive and well. Nothing crazy really happened this week. I was down in Maysville, Kentucky for exchanges and we were just walking around, just a normal day, when we met a guy on his front porch. Usually people will just tell us to beat it, but this guy didn't. He then started talking with us about lots of different stuff, why we are here, what we are doing, stuff like that. He had never heard of the Book of Mormon before so we gave him one and he said he would put it next to his Bible and read out of it. He also told us he would come to church. But I don't know if he actually went, because exchanges were only for a day and a half. It was nice to actually talk to someone for a while. We ended up talking with him for 2 and a half hours. So that was fun.
We have people that aren't members that we are teaching but none of them actually want to change. I think they just like our company or something so its kind of hard. We invite people to do stuff and they never do it, even if we call them daily to remind them, so its kind of frustrating. We also had a few people this week that said they didn't want us to come back any more so that kinda sucked.
Hopefully we will find someone that has a desire to change soon. We also got caught in a huge rainstorm when we were on exchanges and it was pretty fun. We were complete soaked which felt good because it was super hot not too long before. So Elder Davis and I thought it would be fun to go tracting in the rainstorm haha. The first door we knocked on told us to come in and that they weren't gonna let us out until the storm passed. They did not want to hear about our church or anything they just wanted to get us out of the rain, but they then gave us cookies and stuff. We left when the rain stopped like 15 minutes later.
Hopefully I have more for y'all next week! This week was kinda different haha! Love you all! (the one pic the senior missionaries would not let us smile for some reason) lol
Don't forget to count your blessings, that is something I never did often enough before the mission!
Love, Elder Keaton Lawrence
