Hey everyone! The last few weeks have been spirit filled! We were able to meet and put on date for baptism a man and his son, Arnold and Sebastian! They have been so prepared by the Lord to accept the gospel and had no problems with accepting and following the commandments :) we also had an amazing experience getting in contact with a lady we had taught a few weeks ago who we stopped teaching because she did not believe her husband was ready for a faith change, but we stopped by the house a couple weeks later and met the husband and he was so interested in learning more!
This week Quinten L. Cook of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles visited our mission and stakes virtually! We all learned so much from him, his wife, Elder Pearson (our area president) and Elder Carl B. Cook (of the seventy). There was a theme of commitment and willingness. We learned the importance of committing to follow Jesus Christ and letting God prevail in our lives and in being willing to sacrifice and consecrate our lives to our father in heaven. It is not enough to say you made it just by starting and enduring, the Lord expects our all and, brothers and sisters, I know that the more we give to the Lord the happier we will be in our lives. I can not express how much joy and happiness has come into my life when I don't just do things, but give service my all!
Another thing that has been impressed on my mind these weeks has been the reality and tangibility of the Savior in our personal lives. The more I learn about the savior the easier it is to see His hand in my life. Hebrews 10:35-36 states, "35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." When you receive a prompting from the spirit be confident in it! And as President Monson so lovingly encouraged us to, act on it immediately!
Please pray for Arnold and Sebastian! Love you all, have a wonderful week!
