The Time is Far Spent
Why did the crab never share?
Because he's shellfish.
Hello everyone, I hope the last few weeks have been just as good as mine for you! It has been a while since I've written one of these, so I figured I should send one so you know I am still alive! There has been so much that has happened since last time so I'll do my best to explain.
Transfers were Friday, what a fast transfer. Elder Lekgwathi is getting out of training and starting to lead the area for my departure. Yes, that means I am leaving Brackenfell, the time spent here was amazing and I am definitely going to miss this area. I have watched it transform into an area that is getting ready to take off. I know in the next few years (maybe even months) this ward is going to outgrow their building. WHICH is so amazing!! There hasn't been a baptism here since before I was here. There have been many seeds planted and many people are close to making Covenants with our Savior!
Now, the last two weeks have absolutely been a blast! Elder Bean, whom Elder Swann was in the MTC with. And whom I served around in Gqeberha. Well, he is my other companion! Yep, we are a trio! He had a medical thing that he needed to take care of back at home, but then he came back early so he came here to Brackenfell!
Back to transfers I have been serving here for 3 transfers (4-5 Months) It has gone by so fast. I can't believe it's time for me to leave. Friday I will be flying back to the Eastern Cape to go serve in Makhanda which is an hour away from the next closest area to any other Elders.
I know that Heavenly Father’s timing and plans are always the best for us. I know that I will be able to build my testimony even more being in this new area. I am excited to serve and go where the Lord needs me to go.
For this week's spiritual thought, I want to share a video that we compiled mostly from this last conference. Go ahead and watch it and then answer the questions below! Hope you enjoy!
Are we doing the things that matter most in our lives?
Are we focused on our Savior and how we can serve others? Are we praying for our eyes to be open so we can see how we can help others in their needs?
Are we building our relationship with our Savior each day?
Are we praying? Are we asking for help when we need it?
There are many questions we can ask ourselves to make sure we are progressing spiritually. I pray that we can always keep a humble prayer in our hearts for those we can serve and ourselves to grow!
I love each one of you and hope that you guys are doing well!
With Love,
Elder Lawrence
