More EXCHANGES!!!
We had so much fun this week! Monday night we exchanged with Maysville, so I was with Elder Malan in Kentucky!
We had a blast and talked to a lot of people. Maysville is a lot bigger than my area so there are actually people walking around lol. Anyway, we had a blast together. He is literally a comedian. It was also 99 degrees that day and we were sweating our brains out. We walked around this corner and a homeless guy was sitting under a tree. He pointed at my forehead and then wiped his forehead. He was was making fun of us because we were sweating lol. He was a super funny guy and he couldn't even talk. There was something wrong with his tongue, but he could mumble. He then opened this little blue lunch box. It was kind of like the ones we used in middle school (the little soft case ones). Anyway, he opened his little lunch box and pulled out 2 waters. The ONLY thing he had in is lunch box. Possibly the only food and water he had. There wasn't any ice in this soft case cooler. but somehow the water was as cold as it could get. And, he was literally just like sleeping under a tree, so I don't know how he got it and how it was cold, but it was the coolest thing ever. He literally gave us everything he had!! He insisted we take the water and drink it, so we did and he shook our hands and we left shortly after that.
We walked around the rest of the day and actually got bashed in the streets. This guy was like yelling and jumping around. We were both just laughing the whole time because he wouldn't let us talk. He said stuff like how our ties are Satan's noose and Satan is dragging us around with our prideful flashy clothes and stuff haha. He said a lot of other stuff I won't repeat but it was honestly pretty hilarious. We then had a lesson with some people and it totally went south, lol. They started bashing the book of Mormon and stuff so we just jumped up after like 30 minutes of them not letting us talk and just left. We told them we might stop by and check on them but there was nothing we could do at that point. Anyway, that's what our Monday night through Wednesday morning looked like. Wednesday we had a zone conference which was pretty dope. I'm getting to know a lot more missionaries so I feel like I actually know more people.
Thursday through Saturday we were on exchanges with the zone leaders. I had Elder Robinson here in Winchester and that was pretty dope. We are pretty similar so we got along really well, so it was just super fun.
Yesterday (Sunday) we went to Hillsboro to check on a new family that moved into the ward and we got to talk with them for a while. They very politely said that there is no chance of them coming back, but it was super fun to talk hunting. They are both bow hunters and they love deer and bear hunting, so it was super fun to talk to them! We were walking back to the car and my companion said he would do anything for a water right now. Literally like a minute later a car skidded to a stop right next to us and this lady jumped out of the car (someone I had never seen or met before) and gave us these GIANT water bottles and said "it's too hot for y'all to be out here." After she handed us the two waters, she ran back to her car and literally peeled out. lol It was a pretty busy road so she had to be fast.
It's so cool how Heavenly Father is always looking out for his children. I know she went out of her way to get us those waters. They were also ice cold! What a cool experience! I know he looks out for every one of us!! I love you all!!
