Hello everyone! This week was pretty fantastic!
Monday we got to go fishing on p-day! We had the oldest fishing poles, with really weird jigs and old line, but it worked and we pulled in 6 bass somehow. lol That night we did exchanges with the Mt Orab Elders, so I had elder Jarvis here in Winchester! We found a new person to teach! CRAZY how stuff like this always happens on exchanges?! We also stopped by the Queens that night and he was watching the Ohio state game. He told us to come in and he gave us some wings and brisket to eat. It was sooo good, but we aren't really allowed to watch the game so we left shortly after that and set up to do some service for Jim the next day!
Tuesday we did service! We worked until about lunch when Scott invited us to his churches' lunch, so we called President and he said it was okay for us to go, so we went and ate lunch in their Methodist church! It was pretty cool! We got a tour and everything! There was like 20 people there and they were asking us soooo many questions it was super fun. Then they loaded us up on leftovers to take home! That was super nice of them! Once we finished at Queens, I got a text from Debbie and she needed help moving her mom so we drove over there real fast and helped her mom move in.
After that we headed down to Manchester where we met a few really drunk people that were fun to talk to, also met a guy my age and he does lawnmower races, haha. I guess his mower goes 35 miles an hour now after the stuff he did to it.
Wednesday was another service day. When we were at the Methodist church there were older people and they asked us to do some service for them. So we went and did some bush trimming for this one older widowed lady. She was super nice! After that we went to the Queens and did more service for Scott and then he asked us if we could run over to his sisters house and trim her bushes. So we did. Her sister went and got us groceries while we were trimming her bushes! It was super nice of her!! And then we got hamburgers off the smoker from Scott, so he fed us as well! We were blessed!! We have lots of food now!
Thursday we exchanged back. Not much happened after that because district council was in Maysville! We had a dinner appointment at 5 up in Hillsboro, which was dope!!! Turns out the guy is related to the vice president or whatever from Soar no More!!! Freaking sweet! Brayden has their pigeon decoys and we used them all the time for shooting birds! He said he can get me in when I get back, if I really wanted, so we will see what happens!
Friday we did some more service! We did a little for the Queens and then went to bishops house to help him take down some fencing because he is moving. After that he took us out to eat at BK scoops! It was really good and you could get a hot dog with a state. So, if you wanted an Idaho hotdog you got mashed potatoes and bacon on it lol. I just got the Ohio one, which of course is chili and cheese lol.
Saturday was alright but I had a massive headache for some reason so we kind of took it easy and then Sunday we had church and then went and did some service for Debbie! She gave us pizza and we went to talk to this other lady that we had set up an appointment with, but she was still really sick so she told us to come back next week. Other than that, this was pretty much my week!
I know our Heavenly Father watches out for each and every one of us! I love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!!
Love Elder Lawrence
