Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing great! Life here has been pretty good the past couple weeks :) It feels like one long summer! So this week was pretty amazing as we were able to baptize and confirm our friends Arnold and Sebastian! If you remember from a few weeks ago Sebastian is Arnold's 8 year old son and we are so excited for them and for taking this step to "enter in by the way." Arnold shared his testimony many times throughout the service and was so grateful for this opportunity to better himself. When Arnold came out of the water he put his hands in the air and yelled, "thank you Jesus!" How I wish that all of us as members of the "body of Christ" may be able to have and hold on to these feelings of gratitude and enthusiasm for the work! The longer I serve the more I see the truthfulness of these verses found in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 - "5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase."
Brothers and Sisters I would exhort each of you to read through Alma chapter 5 and ask yourself each and every question asked by Alma, especially verses 14 and 26. It is a wonderful self-assessment and an opportunity to better yourself in big or small meaningful ways. Love you all and have a wonderful week, never forget to pray that you might "come off conqueror!"
Also, I'll send the photos from the baptism soon, the person who took them at the service still hasn't sent them to us :)
Here is a sweet comp photo though!
Love,
Elder Tanner Lawrence
