Once again, I am behind.. It is kind of scary how fast time is going. But I feel like I say that a lot. So, that means I have no excuses...
The last two weeks have been good, but stressful! That being said, let's hop right in!
Last week..
I honestly can't remember much about last week. I know we have been struggling a little bit to get Motherwell back to where it should be, but I know there are a lot of people who are waiting to be taught! They just don't know where to find it! We have had a lot of canceled lessons, but we have also had quite a bit of success with the lessons that do happen.
This Week!
Since we have been struggling with finding new people to teach, we had a Blitz in Motherwell! We had 3 sets of Elders all here at the same time. Unfortunately, we didn’t find too many people to teach. But, we were able to plant a bunch of seeds in people's lives and one day those seeds might take off.
Zukile and Siya
I don't believe in coincidences. I don't, everything happens for a reason. A few weeks ago, we had a canceled lesson and Elder Hingano and I were sitting in the car right outside of the home that canceled. Right as we were getting ready to take off, Siya Samuel came running out, and told us that he wants to join our church! This week he had his baptismal interview! He is such a beast and is so ready for Baptism!
Zukile is also a beast and is so ready! We have been teaching Zukile for a few months now, he was also ready for Baptism soon after we met him. I am so excited for both of them to make the next step into their covenant path!
Zone Conference!!!
I think that one of my favorite days on the mission is Zone Conference! It is so spiritually uplifting and edifying. It honestly helps me feel like a normal person again. Not saying I don't enjoy missionary work. Because I do! But since I love theater and running events, it makes me very happy to be a part of big meetings again!
The Mattress
We have some wonderful extra mattresses in our boarding. One of them started to have the springs pop out. A senior couple told us to give the mattress to someone in the ward. We asked our ward who needed a mattress and then we delivered. See the picture to see how we moved that mattress!
With Love,
Elder Lawrence
